Theodorus Gaza (d. 1478) translated Aristotle's Aphorisms, De partibus animalium, and Historia animalium into Latin. See J.H. Baas 1889, p. 293, and more recently Monfasani 1999, p. xxx. The 1555 edition adds here that Celsus “was perhaps the one who compared the operculum of the larynx to a human tongue.”
