(Chapter 15) Footnote 101:

The broad groups of muscles designated musculi colli (cervicis) and musculi dorsi. The musculi dorsi include the suboccipital muscles which are well illustrated in the 14th table of muscles, the erector spinae muscles which are fairly well (but inaccurately) illustrated in the 12th, 13th, and 14th tables, and the deep muscles of the back (mm. transversospinales, m. interspinalis, mm. intertransversarii) which are inaccurately or poorly illustrated or absent in the table of muscles of the back. The deep muscles of the back have a complex arrangement and were probably poorly understood by Vesalius.
