Vesalius attended medical school for three years in Paris, 1533-1536. He refers again to his field trips to the Cemetery of the Innocents later in the Fabrica (chapter 39, 1543 p. 159) and in the China Root Epistle, p. 194 (where he has to fight off scavenging dogs).
